Steven Lugauer is a member of the University of Kentucky Department of Economics. His past research has focused on macroeconomics and demographics. He has published work on these topics in such journals as the Economic Journal, the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. His current research concerns the economics of exploring outer space and sustainable economic growth in the very long run. He holds degrees from the University of Chicago, the University of Miami, and Carnegie Mellon University.
