Liang Liang

Liang is a geographer looking at the interface of biosphere and atmosphere and studies plant phenology using field observations, remote sensing and spatial modeling. The research questions he ask include 1) what are the drivers of spatial changes in plant and vegetation phenology; 2) how can we simulate and predict phenological changes in response to climate change; and especially 3) how do the phenological reponse to climate change vary from place to place. In collaboration, he also tackles research topics such as crop phenology, invasive species and species distribution modeling.
