Jason M. Unrine, PhD, is professor in the University of Kentucky Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, Director of the Kentucky Water Research Institute, and Leader of the Analytical Chemistry Core for Environmental ScienceS of the UK Center for Appalachian Research in Environmental Sciences (UK-CARES). His expertise is in environmental chemistry and toxicology with a focus on manufactured nanomaterials, trace-elements, and drinking water disinfection byproducts. He teaches courses in analytical chemistry, ecotoxicology, and global change. He has authored more than 150 peer reviewed journal articles and served as PI, Co-I or Co-PI on more than $65M in extramurally funded research.
