Andrew (Andy) Long
Northern Kentucky University
Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics

Andy is an applied mathematician who believes in science. Along with many other scientists, Andy believes that we’re in the middle of a carbon crisis, resulting in climate change catastrophes including sea level rise, desertification, floods, forest fires, glacier loss, and contributions toward the sixth great mass extinction in Earth’s history. He blames fossil fuel companies and the legislators whom they’ve rented, who together are prepared to push the planet over a carbon precipice to make a buck, and who stand firmly in the way of sensible actions.
